Foot Warmer

Description

Antique foot warmer, also known as a carriage heater. These devices were used to provide warmth in horse-drawn carriages and early automobiles before the advent of modern heating systems. The heater typically consists of a metal box covered in a carpet-like fabric. It has a drawer or compartment where a heated brick or charcoal was placed to provide warmth. The warmth would radiate through the metal and fabric, keeping the user's feet and legs warm during cold weather. Age and maker unknown.
