Description

Wooden detonator box for explosives. It is labeled a "Blasting Machine." It is a worn wooden box with explanatory labels on the side and metal wire connectors with a wood-handled plunger at the top. The CCC stenciled on the side indicates it was used by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s when enrollees worked on public lands to improve them and make them more accessible to visitors.
