Working Together to Prevent Wildfires (2007)Description
Light brown with a dark brown border to mimic the cross section of a tree and "Working Together To Prevent Wildfires" letters in dark green, this patch is 4.75-inches in diameter. The patch features Smokey Bear with a shovel, as well as a cub holding a sign that reads "Help prevent wildfires!" While the cub might receive an "A" for effort on his sign, he doesn't quite spell his message correctly.
Created in 1944, the Smokey Bear Wildfire Prevention campaign is the longest-running public service advertising campaign in U.S. history, educating generations of Americans about their role in preventing wildfires.
