This Sherrill Compass appears to be one of Sherrill's early designs, manufactured in the 1950s. The compass is enclosed in a plastic case that is 2 1/2 inches tall and has a metal mounting bracket for placement on the windshield center divider.
The Sherrill Research Corporation was founded in 1938 in Peru, Indiana but moved to Mexico, Indiana in 1953. They stayed in business until 1995, producing compasses for automotive, marine, aviation, and military use.Location
