Description

This is a 1970s Leonard silver-plated kids alphabet and numbers coin bank. It is 3" square in size. Each side of the bank has a letter A-D and 4 items that begin with that letter applied in each corner. On the A side, the bank has ape, angel, airplane and apple. On the B side, the bank has butterfly, baseball, boat, and a baby. On the C side, the bank has a camel, cow, cat, and chick. On the D side, the bank has a duck, dog, deer, and a dolphin. The top of the box has a slot for the coins to be inserted and the numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4. The bottom is covered with a green felt and has a removeable cork to empty the bank. Leonard Silver manufactured silver-plated hollow-ware & items beginning in 1969 and was bought out in 1979. Leonard Silver is still made today as a product for the International Silver Company & Wallace Silversmiths, Inc.
