Description

Snoopy was created in 1950 as part of Charles Schulz's syndicated Peanuts comic strip. Peanuts was highly popular in the late 20th century, and merchandizing began in 1958 with plastic dolls of some of the characters. The first television special was A Charlie Brown Christmas in 1965. This Zebco Snoopy fishing pole was manufactured in 1988 by the Brunswick Corporation. It has a yellow handle and Snoopy is featured on the reel dressed in his fishing gear. Other Snoopy branded fishing gear included tackle boxes and bobbers. Zebco was a fishing brand that was manufactured by the Brunswick Corporation which opened its doors in 1845 and is still in business today. In 2001, the W. C. Bradley Company bought Zebco from Brunswick.
