Description

This Universal cast iron food and meat chopper was first manufactured by the Landers, Frary & Clark Company in 1897. This device proved to be so popular that Landers, Frary & Clark offered it in its catalog until 1967. Landers, Frary & Clark came together in 1842 to form a manufacturing company in New Britain, Connecticut. In 1965, the company began to split into several separate businesses. L, F, & C continued producing many stainless steel items, such as the iron, toaster, can-openers, ice skates and mouse traps. Most of the company's items were marketed with the brand Universal.
