2022.2.32.64Description
This Kellogg's Bran Flakes caddy set featuring the 1950s Happy Hostess with the Mostess comes with a journal, a notepad, an address book and 10 notecards with envelopes. Kellogg's uses an illustration of a woman smiling while tying a white ribbon at the nape of her neck as the cover picture on the caddy's contents and on the caddy itself. The woman is wearing a blue apron and has a white bandanna on her head. She is pictured in a kitchen with blue tiled walls, her elbow resting on a blue counter with a red stripe and a box of Kellogg's Bran Flakes in front of her. Her speech bubble reads, "I keep fit...the peasant way..."
The notepad is the only piece with a different cover. The notepad cover is light blue and has a woman in an apron with a towel tucked into the apron. She is wearing high heels and holding up another apron and towel. There is an advertisement at the bottom of the notepad for an apron & towel set for 50 cents.
Will Keith Kellogg founded Kellogg's in 1906 in Battle Creek, Michigan and Bran Flakes were introduced in 1915. They are still in production today.Location
