This red Filburn's sign is advertising Filburn's Resort & Restaurant 3 mi down the road.
"The Filburn family began their business in 1913 when Daniel and Clara Filburn bought the landing. A bait shop and a restaurant/resort were added later. The Filburn's added a marina in 1961 and at one time managed a hotel. The hotel was phased out when cottages on the lake became popular" (1988 Community Post).
The restaurant and resort celebrated its 75th year in 1988.
