From Lisa Van Doren in an e-mail dated July 21, 2016: The tool Jim is using is an electric eraser. It was just a spinning eraser about the size of a pencil eraser. The small canister sitting on the light table is a powder called “Pounce”. It was used to remove dirt and smudges.
