Equipment used for analysis of coal including the Leitz Orthoplan-Pol microscope with computer and other attachments. The Leitz Textural Analysis System (T.A.S.) interfaced with a Leitz MPV II microscope and automatic stage. The equipment was used in the geochemistry laboratory at the Ohio Geological Survey's Building B location on the Fountain Square campus. The image was taken in the early 1980s.
