The Central Silica Company east of Glenford, Perry County, Ohio. The area of the quarry has shale, siltstone, sandstone and conglomerate lithologies of the Pottsville Group-Sharon sandstone/conglomerate. Bedrock is from the Pennsylvanian Geologic Period. The image was taken during a teachers workshop field trip between 1988 to 1992.
