A view of Lake Erie's islands from Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial on South Bass Island, Ottawa County, Ohio. This area has dolomite, anhydrite, gypsum, salt and shale lithologies. Bedrock is from the Silurian Geologic Period. The image was taken by Ralph J. Bernhagen in 1959.
