An outcrop at the East Ohio Limestone Plant's strip pit for Brookville (No. 4) clay, Newland-Brookville (No. 4) coal, Putnam Hill limestone, and Vanport limestone of the Allegheny Group in Section 21 of Lake Township, Stark County, Ohio. This area has shale, siltstone, sandstone, conglomerate, limestone, coal, clay and flint lithologies. Bedrock is from the Pennsylvanian Geologic Period. The image was taken at the general location of work done by Richard M. DeLong for Measured Stratigraphic Section File Number 13496. The section was measured in 1958.
