A Heliminer coal mining machine in a subsurface coal mine operated by the Youghiogheny and Ohio Coal Company near St. Clairsville, Belmont County, Ohio. The Heliminer was developed and sold by the Jeffrey Manufacturing Company of Columbus, Ohio. The image was made by Michael C. Hansen in July, 1977. The location is approximate to the township.
The Puskarich Public Library in Cadiz, Ohio, has a Harrison County History of Coal Museum in its local history and genealogy section. Might try contacting them for more information about Y & O Coal Company (Wikipedia says Puskarich has a video produced by Y & O titled "Energy Under Ground" among its coal memorabilia).
