REVIEW
The slide says "Old Taylor Quarry, Scioto Co, 9/3/1969." This may indicate the Taylor Stone Company operation, which was on the west side of McDermott on Tatman-Coe Road (Route 123) according to research done by Carolyn Cottrell of Portsmouth Public Library by reviewing "old newspapers."
Rhonda, administrative assistant at Waller Brothers Stone Company provided a map location of where Taylor's quarries were located northwest of McDermott and had the following to say about Taylor Stone Company in an e-mail exchange with Lisa F. Long on 11 & 12 August 2016: I do remember Taylor Stone Co. My father worked there until 1972. They went out of business about 1981 - Can't remember the exact date. Taylor Stone production plant was about 1 mile from us. Their address was 2451 McDermott Pond Creek Rd., McDermott, OH 45652. They had quarries on Tatman Coe Rd.
