REVIEW
Information on the location of the mine comes from John McGaughey. On online story in Southeast Ohio Magazine that identified his father as having worked at Sunnyhill and gave the McGaughey's connection to the Perry County Historical and Cultural Arts. E-mail exchange with Lisa F. Long on 17 August 2016: The Sunnyhill mine , the tipple, office and garage, was located just south of Rehoboth, on St. Rt 345 It was a strip mine and was owned by Pete Snider and Gus, I cannot recall his last name. My father worked there from 1948 until 1974 as a truck driver and mechanic. I have a few pictures of the tipple and shop area and the large Dart trucks used there. If you are every in the area I could show you the location of the mine headquarters and my pictures. John McGaughey
