Outcrop is at a quarry in Jefferson Township, Madison County, near West Jefferson, Ohio. Note the 1 foot sandstone layer at the point of contact. Bedrock shows the contact between the Silurian and Devonian Geologic Periods. Photograph was taken in June 1964.
