Bass Islands Dolomite outcrop on South Bass Island, Put-In-Bay Township, Ottawa County, Ohio. This area has dolomite, anhydrite, gypsum, salt and shale lithologies. Bedrock is from the Silurian Geologic Period. Photograph taken by John H. Melvin in 1950.
