This is a close-up image of rock surface layers showing Laural Dolomite above Osgood Shale. Location of the outcrop is the east part of Section 22, west of Springfield, Ohio. Unit lithology in this area is dolomite and shale. Bedrock is from the Silurian Geologic Period. Photograph was probably taken by Ralph J. Bernhagen in 1959.
