An outcrop of the Chagrin Shale Member of the Ohio Shale along Mill Creek in Hogback Ridge Metropolitan Park, Lake County, Ohio. This area is a locality for Echinocaris fossils of the Phylum Arthropoda. Unit lithology in this area is shale, siltstone, and sandstone. Bedrock is from the Devonian Geologic Period. The photograph was taken by Michael C. Hansen in 1975.
