An outcrop of the Ohio Shale along Alum Creek Lake near United States Highway 36 in Delaware County, Ohio. Unit lithology in this area is shale, siltstone, and sandstone. Bedrock is from the Devonian Geologic Period. The photograph was taken by Michael C. Hansen in 1973.
