An outcrop with the Cleveland Shale Member of the Ohio Shale and Bedford Shale along the Vermilion River in the Vermilion River Reservation Park, Lorain County, Ohio. Unit lithology in this area is shale, siltstone and very fine-grained sandstone. Bedrock is from the Devonian Geologic Period. The photograph was probably taken by Dr. Paul Potter in the 1980s.
