An outcrop of the Berea Sandstone showing contorted beds due to soft sediment deformation. The outcrop is next to the Norfolk and Western Railway Company railroad tracks west of McDermott, Scioto County, Ohio. Bedrock is from the Devonian Geologic Period. The photograph was taken by Ralph J. Bernhagen in 1968.
