An outcrop of the Bedford Shale overlain by the Berea Sandstone along the Norfolk and Western Railway railroad tracks west of McDermott, Scioto County, Ohio. Bedrock is from the Devonian Geologic Period. The photograph was taken by Ralph J. Bernhagen in 1968.
