Outcrop of the Cuyahoga Formation along State Route 16 west of Newark, Licking County, Ohio. This area has shale, siltstone, sandstone and conglomerate lithologies. Bedrock is from the Mississippian Geologic Period. The photograph was taken by Michael C. Hansen in 1976.
