An outcrop of the Black Hand Sandstone of the Cuyahoga Formation in Mohican State Park, Hanover Township, Ashland County, Ohio. This area has sandstone and sandy conglomerate lithologies. Bedrock is from the Mississippian Geologic Period. The photograph was taken by Michael C. Hansen in 1984.
