An outcrop showing crossbedding in the Pottsville Group-Sharon sandstone/conglomerate at the north pit of the quarry owned by Industrial Silica Corporation in Nelson Township, Portage County, Ohio. The area of the quarry has shale, siltstone, sandstone and conglomerate lithologies. Bedrock is from the Pennsylvanian Geologic Period. The photograph shows James Osborn Fuller and was taken by Michael C. Hansen in 1978.
