An outcrop of the Pottsville Group-Sharon sandstone/conglomerate in the east 1/2 of the southeast 1/4 of Section 12 in Liberty Township, Jackson County, Ohio. This area has shale, siltstone, sandstone and conglomerate lithologies. Bedrock is from the Pennsylvanian Geologic Period. The photograph was taken by Clark Scheerans in 1979.
