Outcrop of the Massillon sandstone of the Pottsville Group along Interestate 77 heading south at mile 123.5, north of Exit 123A for Waterloo Road in Akron, Summit County, Ohio. This area has shale, siltstone, sandstone, conglomerate, limestone, coal, clay and flint lithologies. Bedrock is from the Pennsylvanian Geologic Period. The photograph was taken in 1981.
