Field work documenting an outcrop of the Lower Mercer limestone of the Pottsville Group. This image is of the work done for Measured Stratigraphic Section File Number 16707 for outcrop along the west side of the road cut along Ohio State Route 60, .1 miles south of Dresden, Jefferson Township, Muskingum County, Ohio. This area has shale, siltstone, sandstone, conglomerate, limestone, coal, clay and flint lithologies. Bedrock is from the Pennsylvanian Geologic Period. The outcrop was measured by Myron T. Sturgeon (pictured) and Michael C. Hansen (photographer) on August 1, 1981.
