Outcrop of the Lower Mercer limestone of the Pottsville Group at the General Clay Products Corporation quarry in Falls Gore Township, Hocking County, Ohio. This area has shale, siltstone, sandstone, conglomerate, limestone, coal, clay and flint lithologies. Bedrock is from the Pennsylvanian Geologic Period. The photograph was taken by Michael C. Hansen in 1978.
