An outcrop of the Freeport sandstone of the Allegheny Group along Interstate 77 at Kimbolton, Guernsey County, Ohio. This area has shale, siltstone, sandstone, conglomerate, limestone, coal, clay and flint lithologies. Bedrock is from the Pennsylvanian Geologic Period. The image was taken in 1980.
