An outcrop with disconformity in the Mahoning sandstone of the Conemaugh Group along Ohio State Route 13 south of Millfield, Athens County, Ohio. This area has shale, siltstone, mudstone, sandstone, limestone and coal lithologies. Bedrock is from the Pennsylvanian Geologic Period. The photograph was taken by Michael C. Hansen in 1972.
