An exposed outcrop of the Conemaugh Group at the left abutment of the Tom Jenkins Dam on the Burr Oak Reservoir, Athens County, Ohio. This area has shale, siltstone, mudstone, sandstone, limestone and coal lithologies. Bedrock is from the Pennsylvanian Geologic Period. The photograph was taken by John H. Melvin in 1957.
