An outcrop showing the Conemaugh Group stratigraphy on the southeast side of the Stimson Avenue Bridge over the Hocking River at Athens, Athens County, Ohio. This area has shale, siltstone, mudstone, sandstone, limestone and coal lithologies. Bedrock is from the Pennsylvanian Geologic Period. The image was taken by Michael C. Hansen in 1974.
