Outcrop of the Cow Run sandstone of the Conemaugh Group at "Shale Hill" of the abandoned Trimble Paving Brick Company at Trimble, Athens County, Ohio. This area has shale, siltstone, mudstone, sandstone, limestone and coal lithologies. Bedrock is from the Pennsylvanian Geologic Period. The photograph was taken by Michael C. Hansen in October 1971.
