An outcrop showing rolling coal with the Brush Creek limestone of the Conemaugh Group along Interstate 77 at mile marker 50 in Guernsey County, Ohio. This area has shale, siltstone, mudstone, sandstone, limestone and coal lithologies. Bedrock is from the Pennsylvanian Geologic Period. The photograph was taken by Michael C. Hansen in 1974.
