An outcrop with the Meigs Creek (No. 9) coal of the Monongahela Group at Armstrong Mills, Belmont County, Ohio. This area has shale, siltstone, mudstone, sandstone, limestone and coal lithologies. Bedrock is from the Pennsylvanian Geologic Period. The photograph was taken by George W. White on June 9, 1971.
