In an e-mail exchange between David B. Buchanan and Lisa Long on July 25, 2016: I was a bit confused at first because the date assigned to the photo is incorrect. It was actually taken in May of 1976 on an undergraduate field trip out of CWRU for Dr. John Hall's "Glacial Geology" 408 course. 1983 was probably when I loaned the slide to OGS. I've checked my course notes and I can't locate anything about this field trip (other than the slides). The slides do say "Peat-East Cleveland" but that's it.
