Imbricated gravel possibly from a Maumee III cobble bar or island in York Township, Sandusky County, Ohio. Maumee III identifies a major late-glacial lake level in the Lake Erie basin in Ohio between 12,900 and 14,300 years before present. The image was taken by Merrianne Hackathorn during the Ohio Academy of Science "Cruising the Columbus Cuesta" Field Trip on April 24, 1983.
