Description

This large silverplate four-tined fork has a decorative cut out on the bowl. Lettuce forks are sometimes part of a salad set. In 1690, the silversmith that would become Towle Silversmiths opened in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. The shift to the Towle name began in 1882.
