Bird Roost

BIRD ROOST| 1966-71 | Photo by Ann Cady, 2024 | ©2026 Norman Daly Art: The photo is of a curved terracotta-colored artifact placed against a neutral gray background. It is thought to be a bird roost worn on the head of a stilt-walker during a pilgrimage. The roost has a rough, textured surface with two rectangular protrusions on top, suggesting perches where a bird was able to keep a foothold. The piece appears aged, with signs of wear and slight imperfections consistent with an ancient or handcrafted object.
