DuPont Blasting Machine

Description

Dupont Blasting Machine No. 50, plunger style. The box is made of wood. The top and bottom pieces of wood are held on with dovetail joints, and a series of flathead screws across all the panels. The top has a leather strap handle that crosses the box. There are two connectors and a metal label on the top. The label reads: Blasting Machine No. 50. Serial No. D143440. Maximum rating - 50 electric blasting caps with 30 foot copper wires connected in straight series as shown. To fire - Raise the handle until it stops then push down quickly with full force. E.I.
