Wooden WaterpipeDescription
This is a segment of wooden pipe used in the original municipal water supply system for South Jordan. The segment includes a joiner for two pipe pieces. The wire wrapped around the pipe is original to its use. The pipe was made with tongue and groove closures designed to expand when water was flowing through the pipe, with water pressure holding the pipe's shape. When the pipe was removed, it was zip tied together to maintain its shape and integrity.
