This was the last magazine of the Gargoyle Press, Autumn 1999, although technically speaking, as noted in the foreword, it was not really a magazine at all. The idea of charging a subscription had now been dropped permanently.
Jennie Mack Gray, February 2026: 'The idea of producing a magazine for the Press went up in smoke when I realised that I had reached the end of my enthusiasm for such ventures. The last publication brought out under the name of The Gargoyle Press was '"Heresies", by Philip Murray-Lawson, which came out in February 2000. There were two outriders, both private productions, "RJ and Kathleen" (2001) and Longridge (2004), but after that I moved on from the small press world to other things.'
