GS: Supper, 1992, Dinner for Decadents menu

Description

Personalised menu for the Dinner for Decadents, 25 April 1992, at The Spreadeagle in Greenwich. All the guests had their own one, which was very unlikely to have survived the night. This one was a spare copy, kept in the office. Under the list of courses, there run these words: "Habitual inebriates, drunkards and sots (which includes the Editor's entourage) can purchase drinks from the bar if the vast amount of booze provided in the ticket price has not proved adequate for their thirst. Dr Razzaq, if asked nicely, may provide emergency first-aid." Jennie Mack Gray, February 2026: "Dr Ghiz Razzaq was a truly delightful London doctor in her late twenties or early thirties. She came to a couple of our social events, and got plastered like the rest of us. Terry Hale did a manful job of trying to make his inebriated audience listen to his speech."
