"Nocturne" was an American publication, produced in Chicago, the editors being Michael J Lotus and Vincent L Michael. However, Mark Valentine was the British agent, which is probably how this particular copy came to be in the UK. (Mark Valentine, together with Roger Dobson, was the editor and producer of "AKLO: A Journal of the Fantastic".)
Jennie Mack Gray: "I must have picked up my copy at the Small Press Group Fair in London in 1990. It was to be very influential in my later design of the A4 version of "The Goth" and "Udolpho", as its quarto size meant that illustrations could be given full dramatic emphasis."
