A bookcase covering the full west wall of the living room. It consists of 4 bays with and a central arched doorway (.042). Each of the bays has several shelves on the top and below are carved cupboard doors each secured with two iron hinges and a latch. The raised lettering is carved on the inset panel of each door which reads (facing from left to right to the left of the doorway): "MURRAY" "NIETSCHE" "FREUD" & "JUNG" and (to the right of the doorway): "MELVILLE" "WHITEHEADS" "BLAKE" & "SAND". The last door on the right is angled. There are three curved niches above the doorway.
