"Acceptance" [?] carved by CDM either 1937 or 1948 symbolically connected to the Shutters of the Caryatids - all three carvings symbolizing "Creative Unity" [?] May also be described as "the anima head" by Henry Murray in Robinson Interview (8/15/1970, p. 2): In answer to question "What was the anima head meant to represent?" Murray replied: "Yes, of course. This particular one minimized the intellect, because it starts from the hairline. This is all hair, wonderfully done, a great big mass of hair. There was no forehead. The hair comes down to the eyebrows and goes off like this. That's the primitive part. That's the primitive aspect of the anima." Interview continues on p. 3 with question "Was the anima head carved with the hair down to the eyebrows a distinguishable part of her [Morgan's] make-up? Murray's answer: "Yes, but it wouldn't be seen by most people. She was a great introvert and quiet and didn't talk much unless there was just one or two people, a few people, or there was a party one, and a few drinks with, she [page 4] would get going. She would be plenty articulate. You saw that Jung thought of her as intellectual, and having too much brain and not enough feeling. And then others might think she was articulate and not intellectual..." Separate Entry in Forrest Robinson Interview with Henry Murray, August 13, 1970 (typescript). p. 22: Robinson: ".....What's the reconciliation panelling?" Murray: "Now, I think that’s underneath the window. It used to be above the window. On each side of the window there’s [sic] the panels, the shutters that you saw, with a heavy weight on top of the head. That was waiting for me to get through writing Explorations, and then getting through with the war, and so forth. Then reconciliation panel. Reconciliation with that long period of postponed activity." p. 24: Robinson: "The reconciliation panel deals with the reunification of the diad." Murray: "Yes."
